Two things to remember when ordering! The versapac 22/410 1. versa has off set 22lr barrel 2.versa does not have the same iron sights as a true sporster 22lr or there youth 22lr...The versa has some plastic doodad  on top of the barrel that the rear sight sits on....The 22lr & youth sportsters have a rear dovetail sight that slides on the metal barrel....Can't wait to get it put a flip down rear sight Like ruger 10 22s have  or williams peap ..I will also install a movable front sight so it  can be moved from left to right...Thats after i have it retapped  and drilled to accept that front adjustable sight......Just a couple heads up thing about the sportster  Dale    Let the fun begin

I bought my .22 LR Sporstter about a year and a half ago, it is a 2004 frame (NU). I had been holding off because I wanted iron sights on it and they only came with a scope rail. I finally could not resist so I bought one and had the barrel D&T'ed and mounted a set of H&R iron sights from a .22 Hornet. It is sure one Handi-Sportster. I am sure you guys will get a lot of fun and use out of your Sportsters with iron sights. I am interested in how the new dovetailed sights match up to the older screw on sights. It's odd but I would think it would be more expensive to dovetaili the barrel for sights than just simply drill and tapping it. I wonder why H&R/NEF went to that method? Could the sights be less expensive for them to buy? Dovetailed sights were the norm on all the .22's I can remember having and seeing as a kid growing up....<><.... :)
