who makes .410 side by sides these days?
« on: April 23, 2003, 07:41:32 AM »
Cant really explain why, who needs a reason, right? but I've been really wanting a nice 410 side by side , for skeet, grouse, squirrels etc... the only thing I can find locally is Stoeger Coach gun, not crazy about the short 20" barrel or the double triggers, (but I could live with triggers if need be). So, is anyone aware of a decent priced 410 like I'm describing? Years ago I used a Fox/Savage that was real nice. Hard to locate anymore. Oh, I don't want to spend a fortune on it either.

Geno,
If I were you, I would check through the various gun on-line auctions or Traditions offers a SxS I believe in .410ga.  If I can be any help just let me know.http://www.traditionsmuzzle.com/eShop/10Browse.asp?Category=Shotguns%3A+Elite+Side+by+Side

AyA, the Spanish firm, makes them.  I've seen them and they're quite nice for the money.  They're not cheap, but not horribly expensive either.  About the same as a good over-under

Geno,
Definately, check out the Russian Baikal line of shotguns. They're very affordable and will suit your hunting/ shooting needs.
