Remington 600 ... Good and Bad....

Saw a Remington 600 "Mohawk" with a 18 inch barrel at a pawn shop for $399.00 today. Can't find much on the net about it. Anyone got some info on accuracy and dependability?

If I (personally) stumbled onto a 600 or 600 Mohawk for $400.00, I'd probably be tempted to lay down some cash on it!
Of course a lot depends on the chambering!

A lot, if not all, of the Mohawks had birch stocks. Maybe more so toward the end of the run, could have been walnut early on, after the 600/660 bit the dust. If walnut, grab it, if birch, ehh.......make an offer.

If it is a 600 Mohawk it will have a plastic trigger guard- floorplate and a birch stock. I had one in 308 and with many factory loads it would go sub MOA. In excellent condition I'd make a offer.
