I spent the last few days in Waco, TX attending Masonic Grand Lodge. While there I spent one afternoon visiting the “Texas Ranger’s Museum.” For those who have not had the opportunity to visit the museum, you should make plans to do so if in the Waco area. The firearms collection is awesome, I have never seen so many fancy pairs of Colt .45s anyplace. The overall collection is great, but it seems most of the Rangers preferred the Colt 1911, and fancied them up with gold and silver plating, as well as beautiful engraving, and beautiful silver, gold, pearl and stag grips. There is also a good display of old Colt revolvers, Winchester saddle guns, and many other firearms that will draw your attention.
The admission is five dollars, but it is worth every cent. If you go, plan for a three-four hour stay so you have time to stroll through and enjoy every display.
