11-87 premier a good hunting gun?
« on: April 24, 2003, 02:59:58 AM »
Is the Remingtion 11-87 premier with a light contour barrel a good choice for turkey and deer? Will the light contour barrel be good enough to shoot slugs through it accuratly? If you know of a better semi auto please tell me

Any advice is wanted.

Thanks,

The gun is an excellent choice but if you want it primarily for deer and turkey hunting I'd not choose the Premier. Mine is the full camo 23" barrel model sold as a turkey gun back when they first came out with the camo model. If you want to use it for deer also get a slug barrel for it.
