Powerbelt Platinum Bullets
« on: December 04, 2006, 10:58:24 PM »
This muzzleloading season here in Indiana I'm going to try out the new powerbelt platinum bullets. I'll be using the 270gr aerotips powered by 2 triple7 pellets, 100gr in .50cal. I will also use the new 777 primers. I have had real good accuracy while sighting in at 55 yards, right at an inch group. I'm really not into long shots, but I think I could reach out to 100 yards alright. I will let you all know how they perform on a deer if I get lucky and good luck to all of you...... :)

So far the reports I've received are not good.  I stopped using the original PB's a long time ago due to poor performance on Whitetail deer.  I'm told the platinums are not any better.  Still very few if any pass throughs with no blood trail to speak of.
