Nikon Referbished Scopes
« on: December 06, 2006, 06:26:16 AM »
A few months in the past, I found a place on the net that sold referbished Nikon scopes at some pretty fair prices.  I didn't bookmark it and now I can't remember what it was.  Anyone out there have any idea what I'm trying to find.

Refurbs only come with a 90 day warranty if that matters to you.

REfurbed Nikon 4.5 x 14 x40 Mil Dot SF from Natchezz is $239.99. The same scope new from Jon at the www.theopticzone.com is $249.  After dealing with Jon once, The Optic Zone is the ONLY place I will buy a scope from.  He is a enthusiast as well as just a good all around person.

Refurbished is just a fancy word for covering up a problem and then reselling it.  I'd stay away from the refurbished scopes...Often they have issues that are not worked out or you will not find in 90 days of the warranty...  A scope might not show its colors until you've hunted with it for several years....A scope should last a lifetime, no matter how much you spend....In short, buy the new one form the OPTIC ZONE.
