If I were a wolf or especially a bear, I'd figure Christmas came early for me!

Shame to lose all that meat but it happens.  One fall when I was a kid, one sport shop in Anchorage had 2 or 3 sets of locked antlers brought in. I was so youg I don't recall any details but it sure was a surprise to have so many found in one season.

separtate moose story.......

A few year back, they found a similar set locked up near Lac seul. Hawkins taxadermy mounted them in full body mounts.

In September a couple of guys came down the river in a canoe with a pair of locked racks.  Big Moose racks, with lots of flesh still hanging from the skulls.  They had found them just off the river out in a big meadow.
