How about putting ejectors on "hunting" calibers, extractors on "target".  I doubt anyone ever bought a .280 for target work,  The same way, maybe rimmed=extractor, others eject.  This still leaves the 7.62 Russian, 30-30 and some in a grey area.

The 7.62x39 Handi and accessory barrel are history, H&R no longer makes em, and unfortunately, ejectors probably are too, as much as most of us would like to see both offered as as option.
