anyone had any experience with a thompson recoil proof scope

I have that scope. It has been on a 35 rem, 44 mag and is now on a 22 Hornet. Have never had a problem with it. I like it as well as my Leopolds and Burris.

Had the illuminated version on an M1-A Scout. Didn't end up liking the concept, but liked the scope just fine.

I have had one for about ten years now. It has been on a .223, a .309JDJ, .45-70, .375JDJ, and a .357 Herrett. It's been with me to Africa as well as West Virginia, Texas, Colorado, and a third-world country called Louisiana, all the while performing without a hitch.

I have one too. It came on a 7mm-08 Encore I purchased. Any idea who really makes them for T/C? :roll:

I read somewhere in a pistol article that Simmons and T/C were the same scope. I am trying for the life of me to remember where. I think it was the HandgunHunting page, but I am not sure.

Thanks Possum. Another fellow told me Tasco makes them for T/C??? If they were Tascos, I don't think they would be as reliable as we have been hearing. I like the old Simons Gold Medal Scopes with the Jap optics, but they stopped making them. I think the new Simmons pistol scopes are a little cr#ppy. I had one fellow tell me that Burris makes the T/C scopes, but I tend to doubt that too :roll: I guess T/C just ain't tellin :wink:
