I finally get my colt model 22 back from my gunsmith friend.  He is going to gunsmithing school in Susanville CA and did some awesome work on my 8mm Mauser.  So about 2 years ago or so I gave him my colt model 22 for a new barrel.  I already have a 4.5" and 6" barrel.  I almost never use the 4.5" because the 6" shoots great.  But now it is going to be wearing a 14.5" fluted bull barrel.  It is for shooting unlimited silhouette.  I had Bond Bomar rear and front sites put on and it is drilled and tapped for a weaver 92A dovetail sight.  Put the red dot on and go to town.  I will post pics of the whole set up when I get it next week sometime.  Dan

 :)I hope you  have it back . Want to see this one. I know waiting is hard when your baby is in someone else's hands and to come back much changed as to it's original self. Get those pictures for us to see.

Here are some pictures of my toy.  Got it back yesterday.  14.5" barrel, fluted, with Bond/Bomar sights.  Also drilled and tapped for a weaver 92A scope mount.

The barrel blank was SS and I think that the finish is bead blasted or something.    I forgot to ask  









May get a chance to shoot this weekend but I don't know for sure.  My dad is in the Hospital secondary to confusion-  and as the MD says it is not good to be an interesting medical patient.  CT and lumbar puncture negative.  Today he is apparently more lucid   Dan
