re-stock youth model Handi?
« on: December 08, 2006, 05:34:21 AM »
Here's my idea. I wanted to get a Hnadi rifle combo in .243/.50cal, but NEF will no longer market these. I was looking for a a combo like this with a straight pistol grip because I wanted to put a turkey barrel on it also, making a Monte carlo stock unusable.
Option#1- buy a youth model Handi in .243 and put on a full size pistol grip stock. Then add the extra barrels I was looking for. The question I have is the reciever the same for the youth model as the regular Handi? The fore-grip the same? would there be any problems adding barrels later?
option#2- buy a Handi (full size), sell the barrel that came with it(have no real need for any of the calibers offered with pistol grips) and then add the extra barrels?  just looking for your ideas as most of you seem very knowledgable about these guns.

The frames are all the same size on all rifes and shotguns, youth or otherwise, with the exception of the 10ga and 12ga slug guns, and the Sidekick.
