SRH sights: Help
« on: December 10, 2006, 05:28:16 AM »
I just bought a Ruger SRH (7 1/2" barrel) used in good shape.  I want to upgrade the sights and want something that shows up well in dim light (fiber optic?)  I want to avoid a scope as long as my aging (now 51 year old) eyes with allow.  What have you done here and where can I get them.  Williams makes some.  Any experience with the One-Ragged-Hole peep I have read about.  Feed back please...

I have a one ragged hole peep on my 44 sbh 7 1/2 barrel.  I used some bright blue nail polish on the top of the front sight.  This works well for these 61 year old eyes.  I am only shooting up to about 60 yards.  I load a 240 gr swc over 10 gr of unique, lots of fun.

Williams makes a Fire Fly Fiber Optic sight set for the SRH.  I had one on mine when I had it.  Easy to install and works good.  Cost is about $30-35.

I tried the One Ragged Hole sight on a Ruger Single Six.  It did not do much for me accuracy wise.
