Weird bullet damage
« on: December 10, 2006, 10:44:09 AM »
Shot another squirrel today with my Single Six at about 30 yards. The bullet went in one side an out the other, hitting the heard on its way. It wasnt an odd angle shot, went in about a half-inch up the ribs on each side behind the shoulder. When I was cleaning it I saw that the spine was severed between the shoulder blades also. I thought it was odd because the bullet wasnt that high at all and it couldnt have expanded enough to cause the spine to break. The only thing I could think is that it broke when the squirrel fell ~12' out of the tree.
