Hi All
Well I took my Snake charmer that I made from a Pardner 410 out today to try some loads I made up.
Here is a pic:
Disclaimer: I do not recommend these loads for your use they work for me if you use them you do so at your own peril
(Sad we gotta do such things)
I have been practicing with using 444 Marlin brass for 410 shotshell and I tell you they work great.
After you clean them and re prime them with large rifle primers here is all I do
Pour in 13.5 grains of 2400 powder (data gotten from Alliant load book) (this is for 1/2 ounce load which is just about 219 grains)
Place a 1/2 ounce shotcup in and set it with the back of a ball point pen. I find Bic works good.
Pour in your shot or 3 00 buck balls
Take a 45 ACP case and cut out pieces from a styrofoam fast food container (helps if you sharpen edge of case)
Place foam piece over shot and glue in place with Elmers glue all.
That is it let sit till dry and works pretty good for the cost.
I have done this with BBs, little brass flechettes I made and buckshot
I also made a slug load
Here is how:
Start with primed 444 case
Pour 13.5 grains of 2400 powder in.
Place two 45 caliber wonder wads over the powder and set with pen
Place the bullet taken from a 45 caliber blackpowder sabot load (bullet I used is .40 caliber and 155 grains in weight) in case
Cover with a foam piece and glue in place
NOTE: this load ONLY works in a 410 that the choke is sawed off on.
I had fun with these
Just sharing
