rimfire scope
« on: December 10, 2006, 12:56:38 PM »
I'm looking for a good rimfire scope to put on an old Remington 521T.  I'm leaning toward the Leupold VX I 2x7 rimfire, but I haven't seen the Weaver rimfire 2x7.  Anyone have any comments about these or other rimfire scopes these size and price range?

Nikon has the Pro-Staff in 2x7 and 4x rimfire models, as well.  We're quite happy with the 4x we have on my sons .22lr.

I have the Weaver 2X7 rimfire on my Remington 541. I used it to replace a Leupold 4X that I wanted to use on another rifle. It is a very good scope for the price. Optics are very good and it was the only scope out of four that I tried as a replacement for the Leupold that did not give me unexplained fliers with known ammo. Also its size looks just right on the rimfire rifles.

the weaver 2x7 rimfire mentioned previously is a very good scope for the money as it big brother the weaver 3x9 with ao.
