Rem 740 in 280 Rem?
« on: December 14, 2006, 02:34:52 PM »

I am looking at a Rem 740, did they come in 280 Rem? My Gun Trader book lists 742 in 280 Rem, but not the 740. would a 740 be drilled and tapped for scope?

Yes, they did come in .280 Rem.  They also came in .244 Rem, .308 Win, and .30-06 Spfd.

There's one on Gun's American right now for $325.  I saw it and clicked on the link and a page came up saying that the site was under maintenance.  It's there on page one, near the bottom of the middle, if that makes sense.  There's also one here http://www.nagelsguns.net/NagelsRifles.htm  It's about the middle of the page for $295.  I just googled this and it came up.  Hope this helps!
