« on: December 15, 2006, 03:34:29 AM »
I have a new model Ruger Blackhawk in 357 mag with a 6-1/2 bbl. I want to put a red dot on it. Who makes mounts and where can you buy them??

The best mount is the t-sob, as put on my Mag-na-port.  It has mulitple slots so you can place your red dot as you wish.  Very good mount and excellent service from Mag-na-port.  I highly recommend it.  44 Man

Did they have to drill your receiver to put the mount on ?

I agree with 44man on the T'SOB mount . I have one on my Freedom Arms revolver and like it a lot ! They are a little expensive though . You might want to look at the Weigand mounts too , they're less $$ and should work well on your 357 . I have the Weigand mounts on 2 of my 44 mags and they have held up well .
Here's a link to the Weigand mounts for Blackhawks .

I second the suggestion for the Weigand mount...I have one on my Ruger SBH Hunter in 44Mag...It is rock solid.  I had to purchase the mount because I wanted to place a red dot site on my revolver...The rings that came with it did not work.

Years ago I mounted a B7L on one of my .41 magnum BH's.  I went with the same setup my gunsmith used on his as it was the same gun/scope set-up he used.  Drilled & taped the topstrap and mounted a Leupold mount and used Redfeild rings.  Have never had any issus with it.  Still solid as day one.

Who sells the T'sob mounts?  How much do they run?  And will the T'sob mount work on the GP100?
Just another voice in the crowd!!!

SSK sells the T'sob. Yes one will work on a Blackhawk or a GP100. SSK will mount it for you. The Weigand will work just fine on either .357, and is a very clean looking mount.
