My buddy ,Mike Tucker and I ,have been chasing water animals this fall.Yesterday,we pulled our line for the 4th time.The first 3 times were because of ice up.This time was different.Thaw out .
We had finally gotten out on the ice,during the recent cold week.Ice went from an inch to 6 inches in just a couple days.We were trapping huts for rats,with a couple 330s set for beaver.
The recent 40 degree temps and rain foiled our latest plans.We pulled yesterday,while most of the ice was still semi safe.The water on the ice ,made walking a real chore.Mike broke through 3 times.I ended up wading,to retrieve a beaver and 330.We were able to pull our entire line.
May be time to start on beaver, next.
