It is my intention to be there again next year, but then of course I had intended to be this year until my health said no. If I'm able to make it I should be able to get some folks to pony up some stuff to give away. Ron Reed of Reed Ammo has already said he will provide some gift certificates.

Well I'm retired (retarded) and a full time RVer so all they have to do is say when and I will be there.

I plan on being there again, I had so much fun last year.  I will talk to some of the local shops around here and see what I can get them to pony up too.

Can not wait to see everyone from last year and some new ones too.

Boy that's an understatement. Digger alone supported the man's family for about three months before the 2006 shoot happened.  :D  I even helped some myself.  ;D

Is there some secret to getting a decent price at Gene Sears?  I had heard about them for 20-25 years but had never been there, so I went by there about a year ago for the first time and got 2,000 primers, they charged me about 15% more than I could buy them in OKC, which is closer and a lot more convenient than Gene Sears place.

You didn't price compare before purchasing? Gene's is lower on some items, equal to other dealers on some, and just flat higher on some too. However it is worth noting that all metal products, i.e., brass, bullets, primers, loaded ammo, went up substantially over the course of the last year.

On a couple of boxes of primers it wasn't worth the extra time, since I'm east of OKC and his shop is out west it's an additional 40 miles round trip for me.  These days I normally go to Sportsman's Warehouse although lately they haven't been getting much stock in on primers, about all they have is CCI and I'm not that hot on CCI primers, I like Federal or Winchester and they haven't had much stock in either one of those brands lately.

I think I'm going to order some powder and primers from Powder Valley in Winfield KS, I've gotten powder from them before.

Hello Dano Give Taylor my congrats and to his Dad for a fine boy. I didn't need to be
there during the ice and snow, I  have seen enough of that stuff to last
life time, esp the cold temps. I am looking forward to the P. dog hunt.
Don't if Clint and I can make it yet. Good luck Marv.

I spoke with Rich the owner of Mueller Optics and he is donating scopes for this PD shoot again as he did the first year. I'm not sure how many or what models. He will be shipping them directly to Dan to give away. IF you guys want to see Rich do this again next year he better be hearing some thank yous from the NEF crowd and I don't just mean those who attend.

Rich is also taking over the Sponsorship of the Optics Discussion Forum abandoned by The Optic Zone.

Thats great news Bill , having never owned or used a Mueller scope i'm kinda looking forward to being able to look over one of them .

As for the Optic Zone , was Jon not seeing the feed back he needed or was there something else involved ?

Jon's reasons are his own, I'll not second guess him. Every person or business who purchases advertising has to make decisions as to where to spend those limited dollars that they feel best pay back their investment and they have to constantly relook those decisions to be sure they get the most bang for their buck.
