? Forend ?
« on: December 16, 2006, 04:06:45 PM »
I hunted with a friend today that has a NEF handy rifle that had a forend that went almost to the end of the barrel.  He had a rifled 12 gage on it , said he had a 223 and a 270 barrel that fit in the same forend that the 12 gage barrel was in. This is the first time that I ever saw a NEF like this one. How common are these long forends?

They are pretty common...not as much as they used to be...Here's a pic of Quickdtoo's rifle with it...I think NEF still has some in stock..they are called Mannlicher foreends.....
You can find lots of pics up in the FAQ's here...http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/smf/index.php/topic,97911.msg1098249435.html#msg1098249435
