Easton aluminum arrows?
« on: December 17, 2006, 05:23:24 AM »
What is the difference in Easton 2219 fall stalker and 2219 XX75 camohunter arrows?  Are they the same weight and size with different camo patterns or will they fly different?

In a word, PAINT!  I've shot both the camo pattern arrows and the reddish arrows into the same, fletch cutting, nock breaking groups.  Pick the prettiest, tune them and stick 'em in your quiver.

Fall Stalker arrows are a totally different alloy. They bend VERY easily. If you look at the Easton site they don't even list the strength of the FS shafts. They also don't list the straightness. The Camohunters are a FAR better arrow. If you want to spend less money go with Gamegetter or Jazz if available in your size.

I use the stalkers all the time. They are a different alloy & only rated .006 straight. Up until a couple years ago gamegetters were .006 & they were fine. The carbons everyones gaga over are mostly around .006 too.
If they bend easier than camo hunters or game getters I never noticed. For $20 a dozen I'll buy them all day.
Do what you want but dont be scared of fall stalkers.  ;) Killed 4 deer with them this season & not one complained.

I may buy a dozen carbons just to tinker with this year tho.  ;D If I do & they shoot good I'll hunt with them. If I dont like them I'll use whats worked for years.
