By all accounts on the information that I have, they seem about right http://bearpawoutfittersmt.com although I must admit, living here in Montana, I have never had to book a hunt with an outfitter.

If it is any consolation a friend of mine just finished with a booked hunt in New Mexico for his cow elk, and here is what he wrote back with:

$1361.50 - Guide fee & License
$50.00 - Tip for Guide (He was a great guy.)
$250.00 - Meat Processing (At least I had meat to process!)
$267.74 - Lodging (Stuck in Raton for 2 extra days.)
$251.03 - Fuel (Still cheaper than the train!)
$2178.77 - Grand Total (Not counting food & incidentals.)

200 lbs is a reasonable estimate of the amount of meat I brought back.

$2178.77 for 200 pounds of meat works out to $10.88 per pound.   :o

After looking over Bear Paw Outfitters website, IF I had the money, I would book a hunt, horseback etc with them any day of the week.  I've ridden horses in that type of Montana country for sometime, if you were to go horse back riding you would see much beauty, and never forget what you had seen.
