Rings torque

I have a 44 super redhawk took the rings off the other day. Now my 44 is damage so now what to do? It torque bad some how. Can it be fix is this common with rugers? The rings look straight on the pistol was going to install a eotech on it with a weaver mount.

It looks to be cosmetic damage but gently peening the raised area down with a well polished punch and a light hammer would likely help. Looks like the ring loosened over time and recoil peened in a dent.
