ive lurked around for quite sometime and bought 11 yr old son a handi 7mm08 for hunting this yr, well with him playing hockey
he decided not to hunt so i hunted it ,youth stock and all , loved it ,short compact ,punch without kick, im hooked ,im chubby and that short stock in my stand with those heavy clothes on felt real real nice,too bad this is the first yr in 22 that i didnt see a deer, glad im not superstitious, talk soon

I love that caliber, have  one in a Rem. 700 SPS. You can't go wrong with it.

Amen to the Pa. comment on Deer population. They've turned it into a two-week free-for-all. Bout the only benefit for me is slim to none chance of hitting a deer on my way home from work.    ;D  Happy Holidays to all   ;D

Sorry...there is no known vaccine available for this disease....Also...this just in...There have been reports that it has been found to be Air Born as well :o :o :o   Just being in the same gun shops with Handi's is enough to cause reactions amongst Handi owners..

Hey Mac, Your right for sure!! Never even felt the bug bite, cause round 2:00 this afternoon I had a 25-06 on order (to arrive mid- next week). Just keeping my fingers crossed it will turn out to be one of those "Dime Drivers"   :)

Read up on all we do to them up in the FAQ's...and I am quite sure it will be...I gotta brand new 25-06 barrel I'll be prepping right after the Holidays are over...I need to find all the loads folks have posted here on them..including Hildy's loads that was posted a while back...Maybe it's time to start a 25-06 thread and see what we can get posted for everybody?

Welcome buckslugger....

This the best place on the web for experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful handgunners and riflemen. These guys will flat out help you. Use the "FAQ and help" and it will be an asset to you. The rifle is very nice and I have now decided it will be my next caliber. If you reload, people here can offer suggestions on bullets, powders, etc that will help you save time and money.

already hooked, looking at 45/70 barrel,laminate stocks,maybe new barrel for older topper shotgun,and so on.....
better work some overtime hahahaha

i live in a tennant house on some acerage in harford county and see deer bout everyday,go to the eastern shore macho male bonding
1200 acre camp and hunt for a week and dont see a thing ......figures,, maybe stay home shoot deer first day,then go to camp to hang out with friends,drink beer around fire and relax ,,hey sounds like a plan for muzzy season next week
