Just wondering how much grinding is involved and what you use to grind them.

I used to just grind them on a bench grinder, but I finally bought a belt/disk sander from Sears when it was on sale. There's a fair amount of grinding if you make em look nice, if you just grind the base to fit, then taper the sides a little and leave the butt full for a bigger foot print, there's not much grinding.
