This turkey was taken at 55 yards using the shotgun on the Baikal IZH-94 and a Colonial Arms ported turkey choke.  The bird droped on the spot.

He was 31 lbs, 10.5 inch beard and 1.25 inch spurs.

Please stop teasing me with the Valmet 12/.30-06...  ;D  Great Caribou picture...

The Turkey was great....  I typically dont take pictures of the deer as we hunt for meat and game management, hence mainly does.  Given the recent invasion of the wild hogs I am sure I will be taking pictures of the dispatched pigs...

Great pictures guys, I currently don't have any pictures of game taken with a combo but hopefully that will change before to much longer since you all have convinced me that an SPR-94 is a good gun and will serve me well I have decided on the 12/308 version.  Now if someone wants to donate a Valmet 412 maybe we can speed the pictures up a little (hey it never hurts to ask).

Here's a big doe that came by my spot toward the end of out firearms season 2007...  She was limping quite bad, as she had been shot in the shoulder with an arrow...  I saw her twice and wasn't getting any better so i harvester her for the freezer...

I had to take the shot at an sharp angle, and you can see that the NP exited quite far back, but at least it was over the stomache...

Here is a pic of a Hen I took with my Remington Spartan SPR94 12/.308 in November 2006.  Shot her with the 12 Gauge barrel at 20 yards.

Nice bird, what choke did you use?  I have used the Turkey choke which has taken a Tom out to 55 yards.

Here's the coyote I shot on the first stand with my Bernadelli 2000 12ga/5.6x50R Leupold Vari-X II 1x4x20mm.  I think this rig is going to see alot of use on coyotes.  It's pretty light and fast handling, like the set trigger for the rifle barrel.  The Savage 24V 223/20ga is going to spend alot of lonely days in the safe.

Nice pict...  That would be a BIG coyote if it had been taken around here...  5.6x50R is a perfect round for coyotes and such...  I thought of building one long time ago, but never did.

As you use nicer designed combo guns, those Savages look more and more crude.

Around here, we have a LOT of does, so a couple weeks ago i put a two of them in my freezer,  (we can harvest 5 a day)

My Krieghoff drilling is now 75 years old, and it's still earning it's keep!  The 8x57jrs bbl., loaded with 200NP's has been a really great combo for all around use on big game for me.

He was taken at about thirty yards. It was a facing shot. The first shot travelled through the chest and exited his hind end. It sat him on his haunches but he got back up. The second shot was through the shoulders and this one planted him for good. The guy in the picture is a client. I was there with him and took the pictures.

I bought a valmet in 12 ga./ .308 earlier this year just for turkey hunting here in Texas so that I would have the rifle barrel for hogs.   I got a chance to make my first turkey hunt with it this weekend.

Shot this gobbler on Friday afternoon with the 12 ga. at 35 yards while he was strutting for my decoy.

I shot this hog saturday afternoon with the .308 barrel.

Hi Mako,

welcome to GBO.

That is a great combo or double play (turkey followed by hog)...

How far out was the hog?  Did you have buck or slug in the shotgun when hog hunting?

Hi Mako,

welcome to GBO.
Thanks.  I stumbled across this website while researching combo guns and found some posts by D.M.

The hog wasn't far...maybe 60 yards or so.   I had copper plated 4's in the shotgun and had decoys out and was doing a little calling but ended up seeing hogs.   This lease seems to have more hogs than turkeys.

I just thought i'd post a pict. of a buck i shot a few days ago with my 8x57jrs Krieghoff drilling,

I was walking when i saw him about 140 yards away.  I quickly snapped the scope on and took the shot, putting a 200NP through both lungs, he still ran 150 yards before running out of gas!
