Traditions PA Pellet Muzzleoader
« on: December 23, 2006, 06:05:21 PM »
I just bought a new Traditions PA Pellet muzzleloader for Christmas and was wondering what other's thought of it. I bought it because you can use the Pyrodex pellets and you can take the barrel off completely to clean. I have a Traditions in-line and use PowerBelts (298n Gr.) in it and they are very accurate. I plan to use the PowerBelts in this PA Pellet gun also. Any thoughts would be helpful.

From my experience using pellets is not very reliable with this rifle. Sure you can duplex the load and put some loose in first. Going to that trouble you might as well use loose powder. Mine was a very accurate shooter.

Pellets are no more than a way for them to charge you a whole lot more for powder. With the speed loaders we have I see no advantage to pellets at all.
