30mm rings for KM77 MKII?
« on: December 24, 2006, 07:09:05 AM »
Hi all

I have a new KM77 VT MKII in 204 Ruger that I bought for a dedicated PD rifle.  My problem is that I want to put a 6-24x50mm scope with a 30mm tube on it.

Does anyone know if Ruger will swap the standard 1" medium rings for the ones I need.or will I be forced to either buy another set?  If yes, how does one go about getting the other set of rings?

Thanks in advance for your interest and replies!

I can't speak for Ruger, but I recall them swapping a set of rings that came with one of my rifles for a set of a different height that I needed.  I'd call Ruger's customer service department if I were you.  Those rings aren't cheap, and it is a very reasonable request, IMO.  Ruger has always treated me well, I think that they would do that for you.  Their customer service number should be on their website.  You probably will have to figure out whether to call Arizona or New Hampshire (different products= different locations) - but that info should be indicated on the website.  Good luck - Merry Christmas.
