what?  not shooting a new toy because of rain?  we need to have a little talk.  You can't take a new gun to a new home and not shoot it for more than 12 hours.  They get scared you are going to make them safe queens.  Be kind to your guns man.

Just got done giving her a good scrubbien , and tested my other barrels on the frame , its a NUxxxx and all the barrels that fit my NUxxx  .223 frame lock like they were made for this frame too .

The only thing that worries me is that it is the old style ejector with the screw on the lug , all my other barrels have the new style ejectors .

It came with pallet wood stocks and the standard barrel , but the stocks look to good to paint so they will stay the way they are , that should make people happy . will post pics soon .

Mama got it for $209.00 + tax so the price was good too .

Good for you Stimpy, I hope the rain stops so you can get out and shoot. My .357 Max brass came in today with an added surprise, hidden in amongst the empty fired brass were five 180 grain jacketed HP flat base bullets which mike out a loose .357. I am trying to get some info on them now and will hopefully load at least 5 rounds tonight or tomorrow with the .357 Max dies, and thanks!!!....<><.... ;D

Have also tried 39 gr of H380 with not impressive results.  Factory Remingtons shot better.

You better get busy and apply a nice coat of that fire engine red. That wood looks kind of mundane. Besides the reflection of the red will contract your eye pupils for a better precision aim??? What about the rain, it would not touch that gloss finish.
We just get snow and cold -15 today.

Just went out around the house on my Crutches to sniff the air to make me tired.
Can't sleep for all that pain. Can't sit very long on the computer either. Feel like flying off the handle.

But you know what happened to the fly that gorged on a cow paddy and could not get off the ground. So she walked up on a fork handle for an elvevated start. But she flopped right down to the ground. So the moral of the story is, don't fly off the handle when you are full of s--t. :o ;D ???

Happy New year to you all

I got a set of pallet wood stocks that I'll trade ya for them purdy ones you got. You just let me know what color you want 'em and they'll be that color for the swap.  ;D

That is a nice looking rifle. Are those the brown laminated stocks?

Nice looking rifle Stimpy.  Hope it shoots well for you.  I haven't gotten a chance to shoot my new Christmas toy yet as I've been back to work nearly every day since Christmas.  I have not even gotten to clean it up and polish the bore out yet.  It's killin me! :(

Stimpy.
What I said above was not a critic of the stock wood, but just a fun remark. I thought I get a rise out of it.  It seams you toke it the wrong way, I am sorry. No offence. Some of the things we write don't always come out the way you had them intended.

The wood on that rifle looks like a single wood laminate, which should finish up real nice with sanding, filling with walnut wood filler and than use several rubs of Birchwood Casey stock finish. That is the finish I used on my laminated stocks.

Fred is right (of course!!!) those are the stocks that I refer to as plain brown laminate as opposed to the single piece of seemingly ungrained birch or beech pallet wood. Those have a REAL nice look (she did good!!!) and since they are laminated wood will hold up much better against swelling and twisting, better to maintain accuracy than the plain single pirce of wood pallet wood stocks. They are still sold as "pallet wood"  as we here refer to them but are stronger and more stable laminated wood. H&R/NEF has had spurts where they put those on guns instead of plain wood. Nice looking gun!!!....<><.... :)
