Torx Screw size for Ruger rings?
« on: December 25, 2006, 04:37:17 AM »
I need to replace the slot screws with torx screws in a factory set of Ruger rings. Rings sit atop a #1 in .243.

Anyone know the correct screw size?
And better yet, best place to order 8 of them.

Thanks!

They are almost surely 6x48 and Brownells sells kits and pachages of screws for different rings and bases..gunsmith assortments..etc.

I replaced the ones on both my brother's .270 and my .243 before the season...I just called Ruger and ordered from them...I believe they were .50 apiece...Both rifles are tang safety M-77s...
