17 HMR and BSA sweet 17
« on: December 25, 2006, 06:18:43 AM »
I currently have a Bushnell 4200 elite on my hummer......but was thinking I might put it on another gun.....so, I know the quality of the sweet 17 won't be up to the bushnell, but how does everyone like them?

Does the calibrated top turret work as advertised, or when you dial it up to 150 yard, is the POI correct for the calibration?

Mine was one of the early ones.  I bought it at Cabelas in Mitchell, South Dakota and looked through almost all they had in stock before I found one I liked.  Some were dark, some had blurry edges, etc.

The compensator seems to work as advertised.  Honestly I haven't shot that much with that gun since I got a HMR barrel for my
Contender.  I put an Elite 5X15 on that and it is a much better scope, but you know that.

Hi V C I have one on my NEF hummer worked well out to 400 yards. One thing to watch is the small alen screw`s that hold the top turret on strip out easy. Glass isn`t as good as your 4200 but not to bad
I rather be over the hill than in it

I have the sweet 17 on my CZ 452 17HMR and it works very well. The scope calculates the flight of the bullet perfectly for me and the glass is pretty good, not as good as a high $$ scope but still good. I would buy another one.
