So what did Santa bring ya?
« on: December 25, 2006, 03:31:27 PM »
What handgun related gifts did Santa bring you this year?  I have to say that I must have been a bad boy as I ended up with clothes, i.e. underwear and socks.  :'(  I did manage to score a few Jeff Foxworthy T-shirts.   :D

Merry Christmas!

Santa, being the great guy that he is, brought me slightly used S&W PC 627 .357 mag.  AND, he didn't even tell my wife about it! ;D

drdougrx,
Beautiful gun! I've always had a weakness for the "J" frame snubbies Only problem with yours, is that it's too darn nice to shoot or carry!! That would cause me to die a slooooooow death. :'(

My gifts from Santa:

SA XD45
SA SS Miltec 1911A1
Para PCX7 45

Santa told me that I was a very good boy this year, and they are all in my favorite caliber for a pistol. ;D

Looks like you recieved three great guns but only have two hands! I can help with that ;D

I mainly recieved gift Certificuts for my main gunshop. Will probably spend these on that bottomless pit  called primers, powder, & bullets. Those guys are always happy to see me come in. ;D

glanceblamm,

Thanks for the offer.  That Para is a real shooter, so I may have to find a third hand to shoot them all at the sametime. :D

Wow!  Santa wa really nice to YOU guys (drdougrx - that is a really pretty snubbie.  That would instantly become my BBQ gun).

Boxhead - nice pair of older Rugers. You are going to have fun with those.

Me - I got a couple of pair of Remington hunting socks - I can take them out lookin' fer my boots; Bob Forker's 3rd edition of Ammo and Ballistics, a new Cartridges of the World by Barnes and Skinner, a book on the Eastern Coyote by Gerry Parker, and a whole week to shoot whatever I want 'cause my Honey flew to Montana to visit her folks...............

Now, I can shoot, keep my toes warm and have some inkling of how my loads perform (lololol).  Mikey.

drdougrx:  A BBQ gun, is the same as a 'Sunday-go-to meetin' gun.  It is worn for dress or somewhat formal occasions when you can go dressed somewhat formally and carry a pretty fancy pistol.  My fanciest gun is a S&W Model 27/28 that the factory re-barrelled with a 3.5" bbl and re-blued.  When I use it hunting it wears factory magnum grips but when I go 'fancy' I replace those with a set of black buffalo horn grips and a Tyler T-Grip adapter.  She's just like my honey in a short skirt - pretty..............  I did open a box containing a stock I've wanted for a long time though.  Yet another 10/22 build to comlete.
