Is there a market in cowboy action shooting for an orininal Winchester model 1887 lever action shotgun? If so what kind of price range do they bring?

Thanks,
Terry

There is definitely a market in SASS. Price would depend on many things such as condition. I can remember when a good 1897 was less than a hundred bucks, but now I see them regularly at $4-600. I have not seen an original 1887, so I can not comment on the price range.

Shaner,
Its a 12 ga.
Thanks for the information. After I asked the question about SASS I did look it up but have not followed through with the classified ads.

I have a replica. It sure is lacking the engraved logo, for sure. I might have to get it engraved on. I have shot 3 matches with mine and I am not really used to it. The 06 models have a drop two feature that takes a lot of practice to master. I like it a lot and it sure shoots well. waelkhntr yours is too nice to beat up cowboy shooting.
I can't tell you what it would price out at, but $600+ might be a good guess. I paid $425 for my replica and it is from China.
