Coach Gun question
« on: December 28, 2006, 10:14:52 AM »
I didn't know where to post this either it would fit in the slug guns and their ammo section or cowboy action shooting. I am interested in the Stoeger Coach Gun Supreme with the interchangeable chokes. I am guessing it takes either something proprietary or the winchoke system. I would like to try it with slugs, but I don't know if it's suitable for that. Anyone know? Merry CHRISTmas, Happy New Year to the Graybeard Outdoors forum members!

It uses standard chokes that I purchase at Sportsman's. You can use slugs, but the barrel is short for anything but home defense

I am guessing that it wouldn't swing very well for upland bird hunting or stuff like that.

If I were looking for a Stoeger for bird hunting, I would look at the Uplander Supreme. The coach gun is for Cowboy Action Shooting or home defense mainly.

Awww come on

Coach guns are great for birds

If there is a bunch of them and they are close ;D

Both barrels at the same time will get you your limit real quick ::)

I guess it is ok to buy a 'coachgun", or as I call 'em a "barkeeps gun".  But I hate to see a perfectly good shotgun have its value and effectiveness destroyed with a hacksaw!
