I use the MIllet rings on all my handi-rifles and haven't had any problems, but I use Leupold on all the rest.

Tim,

I just used the Nef scope base. They fit fine.

I can take a picture if you would like to see how it fits.

Sorry, I guess I didn't "read" the part where you said you didn't use the base!! ::) :-[ :D Buying the base and rings is kinda spendy unless you needed the base for something else. I use the Durasight bases on my CVA Optima Elite barrels, they're a much better base than any other base made for H&Rs except the Warne, I wish they offered them. I'd be interested in the Durasight rings, but I hate vertical split rings, they're impossible to lap so a scope can be mounted properly.

I hate vertical split rings

hate is such a nasty word! lol jk Tim

however they are a pain in the you know what to get mounted as well!!!!!!

The cost was only 25 bucks with the T/C muzzleloader kit. They did not have the Zee rings like I wanted and my 204 had been talking to me in my sleep begging me to put on the new Nikon!

Works super.

You can get Burris Signature Zees for just a bit more, and order all that reloading stuff you're looking for too. ;)
