It has been suggested to me that it is a relatively straightforward procedure to convert a Para Ordinance P-16 in 40 S&W into a 10 mm. While I do not have either the knowledge or skills to want to attempt to do this type of conversion on my own, I am interested to find out if this type of work is a challenge for a qualified gunsmith. What would have to be done to accomplish this type of work? Who would you recommend to do this work?
Has Para Ordinance ever produced a 10 mm pistol? If so, this may facilitate the conversion by using their 10 mm barrel, magazine, extractor, etc. In theory, as well as in practice, would this be the correct way to proceed?
Thank you.
