Remington 700 BDL Vs. SPS
« on: December 29, 2006, 03:50:42 PM »
Other than the stock, what are the differences between the 700 BDL and the SPS? I really want the legendary 700 performance, but I like the synthetic SPS stock. Thanks.

All my Rem 700s are BDL but I can't see any difference in the actions. Just stocks!

The action is the same.  The BDL's are nicely blued, where the SPS's have a rougher matte finish.

Other than the stock material and the bbl finish, the only other difference is roughly $200 - $300

I own a brand new SPS. You'll get the "legendary 700 performance". (At least I did)

I wouldn't trade my M700 SPS Stainless in 7mag for anything.  Its a shooter(.5 moa).  I also like the longer barrels on the magnums.
