Barami Hipgrip
« on: December 31, 2006, 03:28:07 AM »
I have a Charter Arms Undercover that I'm thinking about getting one of these for. Has anyone used them on a small revolver? Did they hold the gun securely?

Also, they look kind of slick. Do they allow a good grip on the piece?

Hi Crosscut,

I have one on a sw36.  I like them, kinda.  As my gun is blue and it sits in my pants without a holster, it's more likely to have its finish ruined.  But is is kinda slick for a slick it in you pants carry.  I don't find them all that comfortable to shoot though...better grips abound, but...their purpose is for deep cover and they work well for that.

I put Barami hipgrips on any small revolver I carry. To me it is much more convenient to just slip that notch over my belt or jeans waist. I think it hides the gun better than most holsters and once you find a comfortable spot to carry it rides there all day with no problem. The only complaint I have is that the gun rides so low that you must get a "shooting grip" on the gun after you pull it. But with practice that is easily handled. I like them.
