Welcome to the boards, first off..

What ammo were you using ??

To get your best groups, you can take 2 different routes... One being try a bunch of different ammo until you find the one that shoots best in your rifle...

Two being to reload..

I haven't done much work(reloading) with my survivor, but am planning to soon...

Best of luck to you !! :)

Welcome aboard!! An H&R is just like any other rifle, it may or may not be particular about what it's loaded with, I'd try several different loads in it. I'd also follow the accurizing tips in the FAQs and Help sticky first, lots of info in there to help newbies and oldies a like. ;)

What is your average group size with a similar caliber gun at the same distance?....<><.... :)
