SAD Pro Hunter

Only 1 person answered my questand about there Pro Hunter accuresy that doesnt say much about the TC Pro hunters 28" ss fluted barrels in any caliber that could be used for varmet hunting or any thing else. Well good luck with the tomato stakes boys :'(

Could it be that not many people have varmint barrels yet for the Pro-hunter. Don't be so quick to cast them aside. Why don't you buy one and do some shooting with one for yourself. Then you can come and give us your hands on experience.  ;)

I have a 22-250 Encore barrel that is a tack driver, but it is not the Pro-hunter barrel.

Just got a 204 pro hunter barrel.  Haven't got to shoot any long shots yet but looks to be a tack driver so far. I also have a 25-06 pro hunter barrel,  it's also a excellent shooter. I also have the 209X50 pro hunter barrel excellent shooter as well. I owned some of the non prohunter barrels in the past and had accuracy problems with them, but decided I wanted a new pro hunter and sold all my blued encore stuff and am happy to say VERY PLEASED with the pro hunter.

I do have a Pro-hunter with a M/L barrel. It is a tack driver, I am getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards and 2 inch groups at 200 yards. The set up is awesome.

My best friend has a 22-250 PH barrel. He hasn't spent a lot of time on the range with it yet, but so far it looks like it will shoot. I'll let you know more after deer season.

i dont have one yet but my 22-250 encore is a tack driver
i barrowed my best freinds  223 pro hunter to try out and fell in love with it i ordered two barrels the day i got home they are great shooter i ordered 204 and 308

Well I have 3 Pro Hunter Barrels. In 243, 223, and 300. The 243 is a tack driver, Killed several Deer to 300 yards, you could hear the report when the 100 grain sierra spitzer BT hit the boiler room. The 223 shoots acceptable, have trigger jobs done on the three above and am working up loads for the 223 and the 300. They should all do better now that I don't have to stand on the triggers to get them to go off, triggers on the thompsons leave a lot to be desired, especially when you are use to light ones. If your guns is not shooting to your expectations it may be a fore arm bedding problem, alot of people I know use hanger bars, or they improvise a bushing that is epoxied in the fore arm where only the bushing is contacting the barrel. I have been loading for more than 40 years and found to achieve outstanding accuracy you must find the load your barrel likes, like some other things no 2 are alike. Good Luck. Lou
