New Mueller 2x7 multishot scope
« on: January 02, 2007, 02:36:46 PM »
What a nice scope, I am very happy.  Put it on .308 NE survivor.  It is purfect.  it is compact and lightweight and clarity is great and that inside ring is neat.  Has an illuminated red dot.  Love it.  I think I will buy a couple more.
thanks to Tim and GB for putting me on to this.  I like it better than my 2x8 Leupold.  2x7 power suits my hunting style, the sight picture with the circle and red dot just feels right.

Thanks guys for the recomendation!!!!!  That is what is so good about this sight, experienced outdoorsmen give their opinions.  I live in the sticks and cannot go to a gun shop to evaluate, need to order by mail.  You guys have helped me make a couple of wise product decisions, and kept me from making a few mistakes.
Thanks again.
JOHN

Quickdtoo...how do you think this scope would work out for coyotes in the dark?  Most of my shooting occurs within 50 yards and I was thinking that this reticle with the red dot and the power range just may be the ticket.

It should work fine, the Mueller illuminated dot scopes aren't subject to tube glow like a lot of other inexpensive illuminated reticle scopes, it should work great for that purpose on the lower settings both, intensity and power wise. The 4-16x50 Sport Dot works great as a night time scope also, as I recollect, some were shooting to 200yds or so at night with it. ;)
