Ruger 77/44 rebarrelled to B&D?!.....now I really regret not buying a walnut/blued 77/44 at a pawn shop 3 years ago for $325 : (
It had rust in the bore about a 2" section from the muzzle. Never thought about making it a B&D! I did think about cutting the barrel back, or rebarreling to a heavier barrel contour.....of course AFTER cleaning and shooting it to see what effect the rusted section of the bore did to accuracy.

I've had .35 caliber T/C Contender barrels in .357 Mag, 357 Max, .357 Herrett, and .35 Rem. I still remember the 10" bull in 'just' the little ol .357 Mag and the blast and muzzle flash it made! All others were 14" barrels. Now have an 18" MGM barrel in .357 MAX coming today in the mail.
The .357 B&D was always a very interesting round but after shooting the 'little' .357 mag and seeing that I could almost start a fire with the muzzle flash, it went on a back burner of ideas and thoughts : )
It wouldn't take much to get me into the hassle of makeing a .357 B&D if a project gun became available. I'm anxious to play with the MGM 18" barrel in Max for a while at least. Seems like a logical round for even possilby suppressing.
