A question for Quick...
« on: January 03, 2007, 03:56:51 AM »
Hi Quick, I just got off the phone with Jennifer after ordering a set of synthetic stocks. I tried to order a standard rifle synthetic forearm for a 45/70 but she told me all synthetic rifle forearms were the same size barrel channels and it may or may not be a bit snug on a 45/70 barrel and might have to be sanded out, I know that is a bit of a pain but at least no refinishing is required as in doing a wooden stock. The synthetic forearm I used to have from a .22 Mag Sportster was just a bit snug on my heavy .280 barrel and I could push it on without sanding and I believe my .280 barrel and my 45/70 barrel are the same outside dimensions.
The question is do you know if there are differnet synthetic forearms for different barrel measuremants?...Thanks....<><.... :)

Jenn is right, there is only one standard synthetic forend part number listed in the parts list, SO2165.The forends for my 17Hmr and 17M2 are the same as the one that came on my SS 30-06. ;)
