Is wmr powder not being made anymore, or does it have a different name now? I can't find it for sale anywhere.

Winchester has not listed WMR on their site for several years, I believe it was discontinued before 2000.

Another great WW powder discontinued.  I found it great to work with and produces accurate .270 Win loads.

This is the main reason I switched to Hodgdon powders. They have equivalent powders to any WW powder and they keep them around. I guess WW feels that they have to get rid of one powder before they introduce another one. Hodgdon figures that there might be someone out there using that powder and introduce new ones for the reloader to choose which is better. They actually support the reloading sports while WW doesn't seem to care.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.

The catch-22 are that some of Hodgdon powders are re-labed WW powders.  They may very slightly in speed because of the difference in lot numbers.  The crushing blow to me was when WW dropped WW785.  I thought I would make it up by using H450, but that did not work.  WW quit manufacturing it(WW785/H450) and I was left hoarding what I had on hand.

If memory serves me correctly, the WMR was replaced by WXR, which also seems to have been discontinued.  I started loading W760 and results are pretty good...Looking at the last data sheets (Win) through Hodgdon, shows only W748 and W760....IMHO
