Having trouble getting WARNE mounts & bases
« on: January 03, 2007, 03:34:34 PM »
Backordered ........the one piece Encore Maxima BAse and Maxima Medium rings.  No hurry as hunting season is over but wondering why these are so hard to get?  Even the very LARGE local gun shop near my home  is out of them.  The one piece Maxima base seems to be the hardest to get.

I ended up getting a Warne base at Sportsman's Warehouse for $28. Midsouth has the blued Maxima base in stock.

When I started using them, no one stocked them.  I caught them on sale and ordered one ring set of each height (not quick realease).  Now, when I use the rings up, I replace them the next time it's convienent.  I've been using the Warne's for several years now and have been satisfied.

So become your own "Stocking Dealer".  Of course, I don't keep bases, but I generally still prefer the Weaver Base for most applications.

I get them  from my local gun shop.  He carries a bunch of them because the Encore and Omega are his top sellers.

Check with www.eabco.com or Cabelas.com.  Cabelas house brand are made by Warne too.  You will see the similarity.

Cabelas House brand does not look like like Warne Maxima's to me.

However, Cabelas is having a sale on Warne Rings in gloss right now, good price too.
