I only have two CZs. The first is a CZ 550 American in 7x57mm. I refinished the stock in GB Lindspeed Oil, glassbedded the action and first inch and one-half of the barrel, freefloated the rest of the barrel, had the bolt handle polished to a bright nickel color and the bolt body jewelled with a small herringbone pattern, and finished it off with talley rings and a Leupold 4x12x40 scope. The rifle will shoot half inch groups with 162 grain Hornady SSTs and H414 powder. I once shot a three shot group which measured .216 inches. The second is my CZ 527 in .223 Remigton. It began as a Lux, but I bought the aftermarket stock you see on it now and turned it into an American with a 23.6 inch barrel. It wears the CZ rings, a Bushnell Elite 3200 scope in 7x21x40. I glassbedded it and then a gunsmith bud of mine wanted to try to pillar bed it, so he did and it is pillar bedded as well.

No idea how to post pics here. Maybe you'll see CZ550 American in 243 with Nikon Monarch 5.5/16.5*44  and maybe not. Either way it is a great rifle

:D  I really like the Bavarian style.   Here is my 1992  452 .22 Sporter as they were called then.   It's the same as the Trainer now.  I'm seriously looking at the 527 Lux .223.  Mainly because of the style and barrel length.   I was contemplating on the .204 527 Varmint, but I don't need that heavy a barrel.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I'll add my little 527 Carbine in .223.  It has CZ rings and a Leupold 3x9 scope.  It's totally stock.

how about a 7.62x39 American Sporter?
« Reply #26 on: March 12, 2010, 01:28:17 PM »
Had to do a bit of smithin' to get this package together.
Barrelled action out of a CZ 527 Carbine. Rear sight base turned off barrel with the lathe. Open front site easily removed w/screw removal.
Stock came on a CZ 527 American Sporter .221 FireBall. That barrelled action got fit into a Kevlar stock, then got rebarrelled with a PacNor to 17 Mach IV [Fireball twin].
Then the nice walnut stock that 'used to' come on .221s got the 7.62x39.
Now I have a nice 7.62x39 that has a higher stock comb for much better scope to face alignment.
I like it. I was going to pull the 7.62x39 barrel, but cut a nice crown on the muzzle and decided it shot well enough to keep the barrel and have fun with it!

My 452 Lux LH, the best .22 I have ever owned. How I wish they made the same style in a left-hand 550, chambered for .30-'06!

Here are new CZ twins. The top one is a 6.5x55 and the lower is a 452 in 22 mag. Both have proved to be extremely accurate.
