t/c open sights
« on: January 04, 2007, 01:35:43 AM »
One thing that was a problem with the open t/c sights on the 44 mag. barrel was the sight picture
from 50yards away. The front blade is just to wide. Any suggestions from the veterans here about a good open
sight assembly for the front and rear on the t/c for a better sight picture. I know there are different types, but why
go through the trials and money and get the right one first. Thanks for your advice.

Have you ever thought about taking it out of the ramp and letting a machinist use a surface grinder to thin it down?  Just a though.  If you think it is too wide what about a revolvers front sight?  Most are even wider.
If you think thinning down the front sight is going to be much of a help if any at all I think you will be unpleasantly surprized.
