New to the forums! Hello!
« on: January 05, 2007, 04:05:26 AM »
After owning a NEF Ultra 223 for about 5 years I just happened across this forum. What do you know? There are others that know about these fantastic rifles. I like it so much that I sold my Remington 22-250 LVSF because I never carried it.
I had the trigger slicked up by a local riflesmith and that's it. I bought a 270 barrel a couple of years ago and it's just as accurate as the 223.
The 223 stays handy all the time, whether on the 4 wheeler or beside the backdoor. The only problem is, I've about depleted the groundhog, stray dog and feral cat population around my house.

Welcome aboard houser52, it looks as if you will fit right in around here. But how in the world did you find the strength to get only one addittional barrel so far? What no shotgun barrel yet? And how about
a rimfire, a .17 perhaps, and a 45-70, everyone has to have a 45-70 Handi, at least one!!!
Have fun, hang on tight, and enjoy the ride, it's all downhill from here but were all smiling as we go....<><.... ;D

17 rimfire? humm... I've thought about that. Will a .17 barrel work on my gun?

Welcome Sorry a 17 barrel will not work on your frame. The firing pin is ofset on the rimfires. You'll just have to buy another rifle ;)   ;D

Thanks for the info.
Seems as though you can pick up a complete .17 NEF at a good price anyway.
From what I've read the .17 hmr is a great round and the .17 M2 is also.

Just visiting here for the past few days has been great.
This forum covers more topics than some of the others especially the NEF rifles.

Welcome.
Do you handload for the 223?
If so, care to share. ;D

I'm new to the forum also and am trying to find out how to adjust the trigger on a handi rifle.  The search function won't work for me and I read on another thread that it was supposed to be in the FAQ section but I can't find it.  Does anyone know exactly how to get to the trigger adjustment instructions?

Thanks
