Guns and negative journalism
« on: January 05, 2007, 09:23:20 AM »
I'm really getting tired of hearing about how evil guns are in the newspapers or on the news. A few years back there was a story of a man (If I can even call Him a Man) who was sexually assulting women joggers. I must have seen it 5 or 6 times, with 5 or 6 victims making the front page of my local paper and then one day there was a small blurb about the woman jogger the legally defended Herself buy shooting this loser with Her Legally owned and legally carried .38 snubbie. It was somehere around page 6! Why wasn't this front page? Why wasn't She givin the key to the city and had a day named in Her honor? I think the small blurb ended with "they are checking to see if She would be brought up on charges" I would love to see some positive publicity with legally owned guns and gun owners, doing what guns are designed to do....Protecting us. why don't we see the articles in the papers when guns were used for protection? I guess it's all about selling papers! (by the way....I know longer get the newspaper)

The MSM is notoriously known as being against legal gun ownership by law abiding citizens. They also try to tell us who to vote for as if we don't know how or who for. I generally vote for the opposite of what they suggest.

I hate to say it, but I've been so conditioned by it, that I have to actually stop and think to spot the bias.

Just the other day I was listening to the news about some celebrity that was killed. He was the "victim of a shooting". I was born into a world where that used to be called "a murder". Now there is only this passive language. We have "victims", and mechanical devices which operate by their own volition, intent on killing of all of us.

It's all about recasting gun ownership as a moral issue. Ignore the act and persecute the symbol. The leftist ideology is all about symbolism. It doesn't matter how you conduct yourself the majority of the time, as long as you make the politically-correct gestures in front of the self-proclaimed social elites.

Long story short: That woman is a sinner and so are the rest of you.

DWTim.......that's about the best way I've ever seen this articulated.   You put this one in the X ring!  Brilliantly explained!   ;D

I agree with VC - very astute observations and right on target!
CIVES ARMA FERANT - Let the citizens bear arms.
POLITICIANS SHOULD BE LIMITED TO TWO TERMS - ONE IN OFFICE AND ONE IN PRISON.... Illinois already does this.

Thanks, folks, but I really can't take credit. It is simply an observation of the anti's behavior.
